As a Turkish citizen I am against EU for some reasons.Fristly, if we join EU we will forget our culture our language and we will be degenerated day by day.Since EU wants us to abolish Ataturk's pictures from public buildings I think they are trying to make us forget Kemalist philosophy and restrict our independence.Secondly, one of the requirments of EU is that Turkiye must offically recognize so-called Armenian genocide.I think this problem should be solved by historians not by politicans.As there is no historical evidence it doesn't make sense for us to accept it.Thirdly, most of European people don't want Turkiye to become a member of EU and this means that we won't be able to get enough economic support from EU.In conclusion if we want to be economically developed and modern country we should just follow principles of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk instead of trying to be member of that kind of things.

few years ago i was not able to understand why some people didnt want Turkiye to join EU i was thinking that things would get better if we join it.but as i grow up i'M definetely on the opinion that we shouldnt.and you explained the reasons well.thank you
Onur your entry is very good.we made a conversation together about our entrance to UN.What has changed since that time ı dont know!but something's changed in a bad way and it is still going worse.I hope that will stop soon...
I just cant understand why our statemen is trying to join this union. If had a similar culture,language,life-style to theirs I would say 'Yes, we should join.'; but we dont have. Instead of being keen on europe union we must think about our nation, our culture and and our country and their problems...
